Chamber Music Online Form!

Final assignments and CRNs will be posted (and/or e-mailed) outside of Bibbins 126, and consent entered on PRESTO just
one day prior to the add/drop deadline.

To receive credit for small ensembles,
you must register for the course for 2 credits in PRESTO
or using a gray add/drop card before the add/drop registration ends:
Academic Calendar

*Students will receive online consent one day prior to the add/drop deadline. A faculty signature is not required. It is the student's responsibility to register by the add/drop deadline.

*All students must register for ensemble credit in order to meet their graduation requirements. (0 or 1 credit is not an option).

*Check the small ensemble requirements specified for your major in the catalog (catalog.oberlin.edu)

*Because of the intensity of individual and group energy devoted to successful chamber music playing, the STRING FACULTY strongly usggests that you limit yourself to one group.

*In the case you do commit to two groups, mark your first and second choice, as the committee cannot guarantee an assignment in a second group.

*Students assigned to two groups will not be able to register on PRESTO. These few students must manually complete a gray add/drop card submitted to the Office of the Registrar (Carnegie) prior to the add/drop deadline. A faculty signature is not required.

*First year Woodwind students must register for Prima Vista Fall semester. Please do not register for a small ensemble group.

*Ensembles taken for credit must be registered for and graded during the semester of participation.

for your small ensemble and the CRN number.

*All NEW students wishing to participate in string chamber music should attend a Chamber Music Reading Session during Orientation. (Usually Friday, 1:00-3:00pm, Conservatory Bibbins 234.) This session currently open to Conservatory & Double Degree students only.

*All students participating in string chamber music are required to attend an organizational meeting (time/location tba - see Central 25.)
